Tonight you may have noticed a fire department presence at the Veterans Park Pond and Paper Goods Pond

We are happy to say there was no emergency, just our personnel getting in their yearly cold water rescue training.
Pictured below are the Berlin and East Berlin Departments at Veterans Park. These training sessions are a yearly requirement for technical rescue incidents such as this ice rescue simulation.
