On 10/05 members attended the CT Fire Department Instructors Association's Award Dinner held at Casa Mia. This year the CFDIA recognized Norwich Fire Department's Andrew Cooke (pictured front left) with an Outstanding Achievement Award for his work and dedication as the Program Coordinator for Berlin High School's Firefighter Program.
Lt. Cook has longstanding ties to the fire service in our surrounding communities and is an instructor with the CT Fire Academy. He has been involved in the program for the past 2 years, which offers kids insight into what it's like to be a first responder as well as step towards an alternative career path in public safety.
