Company 3 units dispatched to Route 5 at Middletown rd for a 2 car accident with injuries. Car 31 Chief Simons arrived on scene to find a 2 car accident with both sides of Route 5 closed and serious injuries with 1 person trapped. At that point Car 31 asked for the extrication assignment to be filled out. 1 person was extricated by Engine 8. In total 2 patients transported ALS to Hartford 1 BLS to Hartford. All units have cleared the scene, the road is back open.
