Companies respond to mid- day building fire

Car 42 Chief Hrubiec arrived to find a 1.5 story split level wood frame dwelling with a large volume of fire showing from the #1 floor. Crews operated for approximately 2 hours knocking down fire, and overhauling the structure. Units have since cleared and the FMO is investigating the cause.

Mutual aid companies also handled a 4 car motor vehicle accident with inuries on route 5 during the incident.

A special thank you to all mutual aid companies and hunters ambulance that operated on both scenes.

Also we'd like to thank not only our dispatchers but the dispatchers from the Cromwell fire department that handled both incidents along with any other police or medical calls as well.
