At 08:17 Berlin's 4 fire companies responded to 655 Christian Lane, Automated Material Handling, for an alarm that was upgraded to a structure fire

Arriving resources found an active fire underneath a conveyor that is part of a recycling bailing machine. Crews also encountered a large volume of smoke inside the facility. The location of the fire and limited visibility made the seat of the fire hard to reach.

Our Task Force 51 partners were brought in to assist with the incident which is now under control. The facility was ventilated and fire department resources have cleared the scene, the Berlin Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause. No injuries were reported by facility employees or firefighters.
