On March 4, 2023, at 11:34hrs the Town of Berlin Fire Departments were dispatched to a reported structure fire, fire in the basement at a residence on Old Edgewood Rd. The first arriving apparatus confirmed working fire. Upon further investigation, heavy fire in the basement area extending to the first floor. Two hose lines were placed into operations. Tankers and Taskforce 51 were requested. Tankers from Southington FD and MIddlesex County responded to the scene to set up a water shuttle operation. Taskforce 51 covered the Town of Berlin. The fire was extinguished and overhauled. The scene was turned over to the Town of Berlin Fire Marshals Office for investigation.
