On Tuesday night, 12/4/18, two presentations were made at the Veteran's Commission meeting.

First, John Mangifico of the Italian Political Independent Club of Berlin presented the Commission with a $200.00 donation. These funds were raised through a charity golf tournament held by the club.

Second, Allan Pipkin, Joseph LaVallee Sr. and James Simons representing the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department presented the commission a donation in the amount of $11,000.00 to be distributed to local veterans in the town of Berlin. These funds were raised through various fundraising events held throughout the year including the BVFD Annual Car Show, a comedy show, a bus trip, percentage of proceeds from the Freedom Fry Booth at the Berlin Fair, donations received at the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and other events. This was all made possible through the efforts of the BVFD membership, their families and the support of the public.

The Berlin Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the community for its support which made these events a success.
