At 1344 hours companies were dispatched to Route 9 south for a 1 car motor vehicle accident. Shortly after the assignment was dispatched they were notified from our dispatcher that a police unit was on scene reporting 1 car fully involved as well as a brush fire. Engine 10 on scene confirming the report from the police department. Car 31 Chief Simons assumed command of the incident at that point he closed all southbound traffic so that fire department operations could be completed. The car fire and brush fire have since been extinguished. Fire department personnel also tended to 2 burn victims.
